The inscription “100% Aloe Vera” is just as little protected and can also mean that the product consists of a lot of water, in which you have mixed a bit of 100% Aloe Vera juice. So pay more attention to the small print. Sweeteners (e.g. fructose) are often included, as well as flavors, preservatives (potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate) or colors.
All of this is basically not bad, because these substances are declared so that you can decide against the product. You need to know what is acemannan also.
Therefore: Always read the list of ingredients or, if in doubt, ask the manufacturer.
The right look
Aloe vera juice should look like freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, the color should be light yellow, small pieces should be visible, similar to the pulp in freshly squeezed citrus juice. The taste is intense, so intense that you might not like it straight away. If the juice tastes sweet, it is sweetened or flavored.
If the aloe vera juice looks like water, then it is probably also water, water with a little aloe vera in it. The effect is then that of water, but not of aloe vera.
Viscose aloe vera gels are usually vicious only because they have been mixed with a thickening agent (e.g. xanthan gum), which is used to imitate the gel consistency from the natural leaf so that the consumer wants to pretend that freshly pressed and untreated aloe vera juice.
However, a gel consistency is also no longer present in high-quality juices, as they become liquid through the stabilization process, but this does not detract from the quality.
The addition of xanthan is, therefore, a completely unnecessary deception, which does not exactly speak for the trustworthiness of the respective manufacturer.
The price
High-quality aloe vera juice is available for around 20 euros per liter. Graduated prices are offered by some manufacturers so that the liter price drops if you buy several bottles.
Avoid aloe vera products that are sold in Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). You pay significantly more there (approx. 30 euros per liter), not because the products are of particularly high quality, but rather to pay all the commissions and bonuses of the endless number of participants.

It is not difficult to keep the undemanding aloe vera as a house, balcony or terrace plant. It is important that the desert lily is supplied with the right ratio of water and sun so that it thrives particularly well. We would like to give you a few tips in this regard:
Aloe vera needs 8-10 hours of sunlight a day but can survive in cooler temperatures. When the frost sets in, she has to go to frost-free winter quarters.
In summer, the plant feels most comfortable outdoors in a sunny place protected from wind and rain – young plants, however, can only tolerate the full sun to a limited extent and are initially better in partial shade.
